Give it a chance: Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta

The title Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta, also known as The Pilot’s Love Song might not sound appealing to your ear, but if you are not watching this shit then something is wrong with you. Well I can’t say something is wrong with you, but I can, without a doubt, say that you are missing out one of the outstanding anime from 2014 winter line up. Hell, after watching this anime I feel like a fucking retard for holding it off  all this time. I mean what the fuck was I doing instead of watching this brilliantly designed anime. Anyway let’s cut to the chase.

This is a tale of a prince who lost everything who leaves for a journey with no guarantee of returning to his hometown safely. With hatred and revenge in his mind, he meets several people that teach him about friendship… and love.

Well the synopsis makes it pretty much clear about it’s main story line. With the mix of planes, battle, action, adventure, young romance, hatred, revenge, social class and much more this anime is destined to be in your watch list. I mean look at it. It has everything. The first episode  starts off where these characters head out on their pilot journey with likelihood  of never returning back again. Our main character, La Hire, Karl, might not be the best pilot yet, but with his mind focused to take revenge on his enemy…he is not going to give up any time soon. Along with our main character, we are introduced with Albus, Ariel who is sister of Karl, but not related by blood. She is cute and funny character, and she does care deeply about Karl as a sister…so far that is…God knows what kind of relationship might blossom! Similarly our other character is Axis, Ignacio who is still a mystery…Finally, we have Cruz, Claire, another female character who plays an important role in this anime. BTW, after Karl meets Claire, he sure is interested in her.

The character design is well done, and I also have no complains about art/sound. So far I have watched four episodes and I think the story has made a solid foundation to make this anime one of its own kind.

If you decide to watch this anime then please watch till the FOURTH EPISODE because something will be revealed which might pique your interest. I don’t want to spoil it, but it sure made me want to watch more.
