Apps for Anime Lovers

Before I start, I want to let you know that I use iPhone so I have no clue if these apps are available for android users. If it is then Banzai!…If not…sumimasen! These apps are my top picks after using them for a while…

First up is “AnimeTrakr”. It is one of the few apps out there in the market which lets you track your

anime. Its basic idea is similar to that of You can track the animes you have completed, watching, or the ones that you plan to watch. You also have the option of dropping or holding the anime. Although it is n

ot much of a social app, you can still comment about the animes in its comment section. It also updates you about all the latest anime every season, and that is why I like it a lot. Not only that, you can also set friendly reminder when new episodes of your currently watching anime are released. Plus, you can also import your anime list from which makes the listing process way more simpler. But be warned, since the app is still in the developing stage, more often than not…the “importing” option does fail. You can also upgrade the app and get other various features, but what I discussed above is all for free.

Now if you are in search for some good anime community app, look no further because “Anime Amino” has got you covered.

Believe me or not, Anime Amino is one of the most friendliest anime community app out there. The community is really active and supporting, and I am not bluffing because I have been using this app for awhile now. With this app you can discuss and share your favorite series and characters. You can follow other people and see what they are up to. You can also ask question to the anime community about different animes. You will be able to find other anime fans around your location, browse anime and cosplayer pictures, learn about Japanese culture and much more.

Now for streaming anime videos, hands down, “Crunchyroll” wins other apps by huge margin. With this app, you will have access to over 25,000 anime episodes. It streams most of the popular animes, so trust me

you won’t miss out much. Without membership, you will have to wait for a week to watch the latest episodes, but still  it is worth the waiting because the video quality is pretty good. You will have access to older episodes all the time. You can also pay a membership fee and become a member which unlocks other various features. The most notable one is that you can watch newest episodes one hour after its airing in Japan. Be a member or not, it really doesn’t matter…but it is one of the most popular anime app that you must have. With this app, you will have access to over 25,000 anime episodes.

Last but not least, if you are a more of a news person who likes to read about the latest anime updates, “Crunchyroll News” is your best bet. Since I am not much familiar with this app, I can’t explain any further…but you can look into it and let me know if its a good one.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your anime apps today!
